Public Sector Show Debrief

By Nicola Vass - 6th April 2018  |  Government

INS were proud to attend the Public Sector Show in Canberra last Tuesday. The focus of the conference was transforming people, processes, tools and technology for a better government. Our CEO, Sophia Symeou, hosted a round table on the topic “How supporting your employees’ career development through Capability Frameworks and Attribute Based Learning will help to shape Workforces of the Future”.

For those who attended the roundtable, an information package including information discussed will be sent next week along with our whitepaper. If you were unable to attend the roundtable and would like to receive the information package, please fill-in this form.

Not only did INS have the honour of hosting a roundtable, Sophia was asked to chair the HR panel. As chair, Sophia discussed designing the future of work in a rapidly changing world. A large influence in Sophia’s talk was PWC’s “Workforce of the Future” study. This paper notes that “we are living through a fundamental transformation in the way we work”. Technologies including artificial intelligence are said to replace entire job categories, but the extent of this is unknown. Despite the changing employment landscape, some human behaviours cannot be replicated by machines. This will result in challenges for HR managers in attracting, engaging, developing and rewarding talented employees.

INS were pleased to have the opportunity to share our “Everyone has a future, let’s create it together” message on the day. If you missed the chance to chat to our team, please click here to download materials from the show, including our whitepaper on Workforces for the Future.
